In February 2010 I enrolled as a part-time student to gain a degree in creative writing. The first module was an introduction to the arts and humanities which covered diverse subjects such as history, philosophy, poetry, short stories and medicine. The module allowed the necessary transitional time to learn essay writing. The module finished on October 1st 2010 and I achieved a 78% pass rate.
October 2nd saw me start the A215 creative writing module. It looks exciting and takes the writer through fiction, poetry, biography and submitting manuscripts.
I’ve written seriously for about five years and some of the course material I cover already in everyday writing. However, the first chapter deals with beating writer’s block and was fascinating. I’m expecting a lot from the course and looking forward to growing as a writer.
